Chai Musoni is the co-founding partner and CEO of Vakayi Capital managers of the Vakayi SME Fund. He has over 20 years of corporate finance, advisory and investment experience in Zimbabwe and the region having worked at a senior level at some of the region’s leading corporate finance firms. Most recently before leaving to start Vakayi Capital he was Senior Manager –Deal Advisory at KPMG where headed the corporate finance team conducting corporate finance work for various clients and also being the country lead for a major energy project, Kariba Extension project for which KPMG was the financial advisor.
He has also been involved as a Senior Expert Advisor with Get.invest, European programme that provides advisory services to renewable energy companies and entrepreneurs in Sub Saharan Africa, the Pacific and the Carribean. Chai enjoys travelling and meeting people, experiencing the diverse social and business cultures he comes across. He loves sport and particularly football following both local and foreign leagues. Chai is a trained accountant and holds an MBA from Henley Management College.
Patrick is the Chief Investment Officer of Vakayi Capital and is also a member of the Investment Committee. He has over 15 years of private equity experience having joined Investors in Africa - Takura Ventures (‘Pvt’) Ltd (‘Takura Ventures’) in 1996. Initially recruited as a Finance & Investment Executive he rose through the ranks to become General Manager of Takura Ventures in January 2004.
He resigned from Takura Ventures in June 2010 to venture into private business Patrick is a seasoned private equity practitioner. He has a demonstrable track record in private equity including the key disciplines of sourcing, negotiating and structuring, managing and exiting private equity transactions in companies ranging from manufacturing to services and telecommunication sectors. Prior to joining Takura Ventures, Patrick worked in the manufacturing sector for Unilever and Tetra Pak in commercial, financial and treasury roles.
He holds both a Bachelor of Business Studies (Hons) (UZ) and an MBA majoring in Finance from the University of Zimbabwe. He is also an associate of the Chartered Institute of Chartered Secretaries (‘ACIS’) and the Institute of Chartered Global Management Accountants (‘ACGMA’). He is an alumnus of the Harvard Program on Investment Appraisal and Management.
Godwin has over 20 years of investment experience covering, private equity fund management, stock broking , investment analysis, research and advisory. He began his career in stockbroking as j2 as an Investment Analyst responsible for broad macroeconomic research and investment analysis of listed equities in Zimbabwe.
Godwin later moved into asset management joining Infinity Asset Management as Head of Investments managing a US$25 million portfolio. In this role he interacted with a broad spectrum of investors which included pension funds, parastatals, private companies and high net worth individuals. Godwin joined Vakayi Capital in 2017 as Investment Analyst. He holds Godwin holds a B.Sc. Hons Degree in Economics from the University of Zimbabwe.
Lena is a seasoned non-profit executive and strategy leader with over 20 years of experience working at the intersection of innovation, entrepreneurship, and organizational growth in Zimbabwe across the region, and globally. She served as Chief Operating Officer of Friendship Bench Zimbabwe. Lena brings deep experience working within multi-stakeholder ecosystems, partnering with universities, the private sector, government bodies, foundations, and civil society to support innovation, entrepreneurship, and employability.
Lena co-founded The BOOST Fellowship, Zimbabwe’s longest-running leadership, mentorship, and entrepreneurship development program for young people, and has served in senior leadership roles within the Enactus global network, including as Regional Vice President for Enactus Africa and Vice President for the International Affiliate Division, overseeing 31 countries. Lena is passionate about unlocking individual potential through mentorship and coaching, and enjoys learning about diverse cultures through travel. She holds an MBA from Howard University, completed the Executive Business Development Program at Wharton, and earned a BA from Defiance College.
A Fellow Chartered Accountant of Zimbabwe, FCA(Z), by profession, Dudu holds a Bachelor in Accounting Science Honours degree with the University of South Africa (UNISA) as well as a Masters’ in Business Leadership from the UNISA Graduate School of Business Leadership.
Dudu currently runs her own business, Deuce Advisory Services, an independent consulting firm specialising in financial advisory and business strategy, as well as investment promotion.
Her career, which covers both private and public sector, spans over 25 years, which have seen her gain accomplished excellence in accounting, governance, financial, business and strategic leadership. Having started off at PricewaterhouseCoopers, she has held Chief Finance Officer positions at Amalgamated Brands, part of the Takura Capital Group, Schweppes Holdings Africa Limited and Medical Investments Limited. She was also an executive director with Imara Corporate Finance and was Head of Tetrad Investment Bank Corporate Banking department.
Her public-sector experience includes operational and finance roles at the Zimbabwe Investment and Development Agency (ZIDA), including leading the organisation as Acting CEO for a year. During this time her experience included working with regional economic bodies such as Southern African Development Community (SADC), Common Market for Eastern and Southern Africa (COMESA) and the Africa Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA) on various collaborative projects.
Dudu is a Past President of the Institute of Chartered Accountants (ICAZ). She is currently an independent non-executive director on leading Zimbabwean companies such as the Innscor Africa, Hippo Valley Estates and CABS Zimbabwe Boards. On the public-sector front, she is on the Board of Governors of the Zimbabwe Foreign Services Institute, as well as the National Competitiveness Commission.
Shandurai Charamba is an investment professional with nearly a decade of experience spanning institutional investment consultancy, asset management, portfolio analysis, and regulated product development.
He currently serves as Business Development and Investor Relations Manager at Eagle Asset Management, where he leads institutional investor engagement, capital raising, and the strategic positioning of regulated investment vehicles. Prior to this, Shandurai held senior advisory and leadership roles at Intellego Investment Consultants, where he directed portfolio and alternative investment analysis across asset classes including real estate, private equity, infrastructure, agriculture, energy, and liquid assets, while overseeing consultancy teams and supporting institutional portfolio construction.
Shandurai holds a Bachelor of Commerce in Financial Planning and a Postgraduate Diploma in Financial Planning and Investment Management from Nelson Mandela University, and is a CFA Institute CIPM® Level I certificate holder. He is known for his analytical rigour, sound investment judgement, and disciplined approach to governance and client engagement.

He has been a director of E+Co, an investment company for renewable energy in emerging markets, and of SOVEC, and investment funds for SMEs in Ghana.
He was the lead developer of the Global Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy Fund (GEEREF), a EUR 110 mln fund managed by the European Investment Bank, targeting emerging markets.
He has been engaged in investing seed capital and growth capital to entrepreneurs, including sectors like solar, hydro power and healthcare.

Dan Kranzler has been a startup entrepreneur for over 45 years managing, supporting, and financing high–tech start–up companies beginning with the earliest days of the startup of cellular telephone.
Dan has been involved in senior management roles at a number of communications and Internet companies and has been a global speaker and advisor on wireless, technology, organizational development “Service Leadership” and the corporate innovation gap. He is currently the Managing Partner of eFund, LLC (www.efundllc.com) an early-stage funder of innovative technology startups in the Pacific Northwest.
